Interested in Becoming a Member?

Becoming a member of a church is more than simply attending services—it is a commitment to live out the mission of the gospel alongside a local body of believers. It means joining a spiritual family that has been united by the grace and mercy God has shown us through Jesus Christ.

At Grace Community Church, membership is an invitation to walk closely with one another in faith. Our members seek to encourage one another, grow together in God’s Word, and serve both the church and our community. Because of this, membership involves a deeper level of commitment, accountability, and service than simply attending.

For that reason, we want anyone considering membership to fully understand who we are, what we believe, and what it means to be part of this church family. Our hope is that you will prayerfully consider whether God is calling you to partner with us in the life and mission of Grace Community Church.

Becoming a member is a three step process.  We don’t want it to be difficult, but we do hope that the process of becoming a member is significant in the lives of everyone involved.

First step-

Attend one of the membership classes. We offer classes a few times a year. They are on Sunday afternoons as soon as the morning service is over. We provide a free meal and childcare as we discuss with you who we are as a church, our core beliefs, theological distinctives, and expectations of members.

second step-

If you agree who we are and think that God’s place for you is with us, the second step is to indicate to us your desire for membership through text, email, or in person.  You will then be paired up with an elder and share your story of salvation. You will tell us how you came to know and love the truth that Jesus died for your sins. This is not a test you can fail. The purpose of this is so that both you and the church have a clear picture of what God has done in your life.

third step-

After you have shared your story, the last step is to affirm the Church Covenant and affirm your commitment to membership at Grace Community. This is a verbal agreement between you and the members of Grace Community that seals your membership.
